About GSTBox
What it is
GSTBox is a small, focused suite of free tools for Indian businesses. We started with a clean GST calculator because every small business owner does GST math constantly — invoice prep, tax filing, quoting clients — and most online calculators are bloated, ad-stuffed, or want your phone number.
Why we built it
Calculations should not require signup. Templates should not be paywalled. Most basic business workflows in India can be a 30-second browser interaction instead of a 30-minute signup-and-onboarding flow. GSTBox is the version of that we wanted to use ourselves.
How it stays private
Every calculation runs locally in your browser. We don't collect any inputs, don't log amounts, and don't run any analytics that touch the calculator. You can verify this in seconds: open your browser's DevTools → Network tab, and use the calculator. Zero requests fire.

How the project is funded
GSTBox does not collect emails or sell user data. To cover hosting and development time, we may show occasional unobtrusive ads on supporting articles, and may include affiliate links to relevant accounting / finance tools we genuinely recommend. If we ever do, we'll disclose it clearly.
Who runs it
GSTBox is an independent project, not affiliated with Tally, Vyapar, Zoho, ClearTax, or any government body. Its only relationship with the GST Council is using their published tax rates.
